Student
Marketing Specialist Position
| Thank
you for looking into our marketing internship
program. This is a non-paid position designed
to give students great practical business
experience, while supporting the development
of the world's entrepreneurs. If you are not
familiar with our mission to help entrepreneurs
with marketing, please research this website.
So what
would you do?
There are
a variety of activities that you can do
to support the development of the foundation.
You would work with FAMEE staff to determine
the exact things you are interested in and
that we need assistance with. So, in a way,
you will have some direct input in designing
how you want to spend your volunteer time
- what would benefit you the most, as well
as the foundation, and the small business
owners it serves.

* Participate on a fun
team who has a really strong mission - you will
contribute to an important cause!
* Great training - you
will learn a lot and apply your classroom learning
to a real business setting; this is powerful
* Excellent work experience
directly related to marketing - very hard to duplicate
with a normal part time job - will enhance your
resume and job search
* Some of the project work
may relate directly to your studies and may count
as project work in your courses (obviously, you
will need to research this on your own with your
instructor)
* Excellent resume builder
- not only the work you do, but it shows some
character and initiative to volunteer for a not-for-profit
organization which serves entrepreneurs
* The opportunity to interact
with and review the work of small business marketing
experts
How do you apply?
* First, review this website
in detail and "get" what we do - make
a list of the three main reasons you want to be
involved with this organization
* Next, brainstorm a list
of six to ten things you think you could do to
help the foundation (show some creativity and
marketing "hoots bah" here)
* Finally, email us at
volunteers@famee.org
- be sure to include your resume, the three reasons
you want to be involved with us, and the list
of 10 things brainstorming
* Just a side note here
- how professional you present yourself in writing
is a key thing we evaluate, so read the instructions
and be thorough!
